SAFE and SPIRITUAL - HIGH HOLIDAY SERVICES

Due to the safety concerns involved with Covid-19 we will be offering various different options for Outdoor High Holiday Services, with strict social distancing, for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

All services will take place outdoors, under a large tent, at the New Canaan YMCA. Masks are required.

For safety reasons,  RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED

High Holiday Service Options: (Please see the schedule below)

1. Traditional Services.

The traditional services will include all the prayers,Torah readings and a sermon. The services will take place earlier in the day, and will be quicker than usual.

2. Highlights of the Services

Understanding that due to Covid 19, we can't have everyone at the same time, and that some people feel safer coming for a shorter amount of time, we will offer shorter "Highlights Services" as well.

3. Family Services

Due to Covid-19 safety considerations, we will not be offering Children's Programs during the Traditional, or Highlights Services. Instead, we will offer a Family Service, geared for children and their families later in the day.

This year, since the first day of Rosh Hashana will take place on Shabbat, the Shofar will only be blown on the second day, Sunday. We hope we will see you on both days, but if you need to choose one day, we encourage you to come on Sunday for the Shofar.

Please consider a donation to Chabad of New Canaan in honor of the High Holidays. The High Holidays this year involve new additional expenses, and your generous support is needed during these difficult times, more than ever.  Click here to donate online. Checks can be mailed to Chabad of New Canaan, 137 Putnam Road, New Canaan, CT 06840.
